I originally published To Whatever End independently, without the backing of a publishing company. As I was writing the book, I did a lot of research into the industry and the various paths to publication. David and I gave it a lot of thought and ultimately decided to self-publish. I didn't rule out the idea of working with a publisher at some point in the future, but I'll be honest, I didn't expect someone to come knocking just a couple of months after putting out my debut novel. But come knocking, they did!
The owner of RPG heard about my book, read it and loved it. They feel like I have potential for a wider readership and they want to help me get there. It's a very exciting prospect and I'm thrilled to be working with them.
And the best news is, from where you're sitting, not much will change. Book two, An Altered Fate, will still be released in May, just as it would have been if I were putting it out completely on my own. And now I have the backing of a company that wants to help all their authors find more readers and be successful.
I have to give a huge thank you to all of my friends and readers who have supported me and cheered me on. You guys are fantastic. I'm excited to embark on this new stage of my journey!
