An Altered Fate is hanging out with two very nice, but slightly lonely reviews. So here's what I'm going to do. If you've read An Altered Fate, please consider leaving an honest review on Amazon (and Goodreads as well, if that's your thing). Once we get to 10 reviews, I will pick three random members from my mailing list for a FREE signed copy of An Altered Fate. That's the hard copy, peeps. Straight from my hands, to yours.
To be clear, I'm not asking for fake reviews. I'm not asking anyone to review it who hasn't read it. And I'm not saying only people who review the book will be eligible to win (anyone on my mailing list will be automatically entered, regardless of whether they've reviewed either book). But I do want to get the word out that reviews are really helpful to authors, especially noobs like me, who need some social proof so people stumbling upon my books don't think I'm some sort of hack who can't write and somehow bribed a talented artist to do a couple of nice covers.
So here's what you do. If you aren't already signed up for my mailing list, just mosey on over here, or use the nifty little form on the sidebar over there, and sign up. I'm not spammy, I promise. A mailing list is just a direct way for authors to interact and keep in touch with readers. I'll let you know when something awesome is happening, like a giveaway or a sale, and often mailing list subscribers will be the first to hear about new releases and be eligible for giveaways.
Then, if you've read An Altered Fate, consider leaving an honest review on Amazon. Like I said, reviews are helpful in establishing that a book doesn't totally suck and hopefully makes more people willing to give a new author a shot.
Also, if you've read the first book in the series, To Whatever End, but haven't reviewed it, I'd love it if you would review that book as well. :)
Once An Altered Fate has 10 reviews, I'll set up the giveaway and randomly select three winners from my mailing list.
THEN! When the book gets 20 reviews, we'll do it all over again and randomly select three more winners who will also get a signed copy of An Altered Fate. And I might even throw in copies of To Whatever End. You never know.
But wait, there's more! (I literally can not read that in anything but an infomercial voice). Once An Altered Fate gets 20 reviews, David is going to build something sweet out of Lego and my mailing list subscribers will get to choose what it is - we'll have them vote on a scene or location from the book, and he'll make it come to life... in Lego. Because awesome.
A big, giant thank you to everyone who has already reviewed To Whatever End and An Altered Fate. It means so much to me that you all have supported me in this crazy adventure. If you're still reading An Altered Fate, I hope you're enjoying it and I'd love to hear what you think when you're done.
Thanks everyone!
